The coveted "Chicken Dinner," which is the reward slang for winning a game in "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" (PUBG), is being cheated for in much more subtle ways now, as developers discover a new cheating mechanic which a lot of players have used.

It can be recalled that recently, the developers of "PUBG" have initiated a widespread and massive ban wave, which purged a lot of cheaters in the game. This was due to a newly discovered cheat being used in the battle royale game which lets players heal instantly and revive teammates instantly as well. This was quite a big problem for the game since it has become quite a competitive title and even has tournaments available.

It was speculated, however, that the cheat was not new and was only discovered because of the death cam, which lets players see who killed them and how they were killed. The cheaters were caught in the act by Redditor MagicIsBull, who recorded his own death cam footage where he was killed by someone utilizing the cheat.

It is important to note that without cheating, healing would take as much as 8 seconds, while reviving a downed team member can take as much as 10 seconds, making both moves tactical and quite a trade-off.

With 30 million people being able to play "PUBG" at any given time, this is not a surprising notion, though the number of ways players can and have cheated in-game is quite astounding, despite how illegal it is. If caught cheating, then players can get their accounts banned, which will then force them to purchase the game again on Steam should they want to resume playing. This would mean spending money and having their progress reset, which includes collected cosmetic items and ranking.

The developers remain vigilant, however, since they have recently been utilizing anti-cheating software Battleye in order to provide fair matches for all players.
