"Quantico" season 2 is currently in production and a report from TV Line has revealed that while the show has lost two of its main characters during the season 1 finale, there will be a few new faces this time around. One of these new characters will be played by telenovela star Aaron Diaz.

Diaz has been signed for a major recurring role and he is set to portray a "thrill-seeking photojournalist" named Leon Velez. The character is also stated to have no home or life other than his backpack which indicates this is a man always on the move, carrying everything he needs wherever he goes to get a snapshot or to follow a lead on a story.

The actor has also posted a sneak peek via Instagram, revealing he is indeed going to make his debut in the premiere episode for "Quantico" season 2. The snapshot also reveals that series creator Joshua Safran and writer Logan Slakter wrote the screenplay for the premiere. Patrick Norris is set to direct the episode.

According to the report, Diaz has appeared in an English series when he guest starred for an episode of 2011's "Pan Am" but the actor is primarily known for his Spanish-speaking roles. He has appeared in Spanish dramas such as "Los Miserables," "Teresa" and "Clase 406."

Diaz will be appearing for several episodes although the exact count has yet to be revealed. There are also no confirmations that he may be upgraded to a series regular in future seasons as there are no guarantees his character will even make it out alive.

Other new characters and actors are also set to appear in the second season but they have yet to be announced. What is confirmed is that Alex (Priyanka Chopra) will no longer be a part of the FBI and may be shifting her attention to aiding the CIA following the events in season 1 where she was wrongfully accussed of terrorist activities.

"Quantico" season 2 premieres this Sept. 25 on ABC.
