While news about "Ray Donovan" became scarce after Showtime announced the series renewal in August 2015, the cast members of the crime family drama are starting to shed light on the plans for season 4.

In an interview with The Wrap, actor Steven Bauer revealed what he wants his character Avi to achieve in the fourth season of the series.

Avi was Ray's (Liev Schreiber) trusted right-hand man and his go-to person to make his problems disappear. But for season 4, the actor said, "I would love to have a personal life, but if that's not in the cards, that's OK too."

But Bauer is not the only one who has plans for his character next season. In a separate interview, Dash Mihok told the same publication that he wants to see his character Bunchy to work with Ray in "Ray Donovan" season 4.

"Liev had this plot line, that I loved, but I don't know if it's gonna happen. He had this idea that it would be amazing if I came and worked for him," Mihok revealed. "I think there would be a lot of humor and hijinks if Bunchy got to work for Ray. But I'm sure that if the fatherhood thing continues, there's going to be a whole struggle thing with being a parent and the way you view your children when you've been abused — you're totally confused and conflicted."

Aside from the plot for the upcoming season, fans of the series would also like to know the fate of Ray's father Mickey when it returns for season 4.

By the end of season 3, Jon Voight's character was trapped in a very hopeless situation. But series showrunner David Hollander revealed in an interview with TV Line that dangerous situations are nothing new for the Donovan patriarch.

"Mickey always wakes up in a new place, and that place feels permanent until it's not. Boston. Mexico. North Hollywood. And somehow, some way, whatever he is doing, it's going to drag him right back into the heart of Donovan land," the series showrunner claimed.

"Ray Donovan" season 4 is slated to premiere sometime in 2016.
