'Real Housewives of Dallas' season 2 cast, spoilers: Brandi Redmond and LeeAnne Locken not returning?

Bravo

As reported by Reality Tea, "The Real Housewives of Dallas" season 1 did not fare well with the viewership ratings and was not as critically praised as its sister shows. The show has not yet been officially renewed for a second season but if it did, executive producer Andy Cohen confirmed that there would be some changes.

Speaking to the "Kidd Kraddick Morning Show" with Kellie Rasberry, Cohen acknowledged that there was a potential for the show to get renewed but the series would need to see some big changes for it to pick up steam and stay on the air.

"We always shake it up a little bit. Now that the reunion has aired and all the dust is settling, we're taking a look back and reevaluating and figuring out who we want to keep and who we want to let go," he stated.

Rasberry followed this up by stating there was a need to get rid of the poop-jokes and charity storylines, and Cohen responded if she meant getting rid of Brandi Redmond and LeeAnne Locken given that these storylines focused on these two characters.

It is noted that Brandi and LeeAnne may have been the characters that critics and audiences complained the most about but were also the only ones with sufficient story to keep the season moving forward. Without them in season 2, the episodes may simply come to a slow halt without any form of drama to propel the characters.

According to the report, it is possible that the cast will be shaken up significantly and this may mean letting go of Brandi, LeeAnne and more. There have also been rumors of Kellie Rasberry joining the cast if the executive producers decide to go with very drastic changes.

"The Real Housewives of Dallas" season 2, if it gets renewed, will air in spring 2017.
