Real and Celta Vigo both have 18 points in La Liga tied with defending champions Barcelona, with both clubs also holding an identical record of 5–3–0.

Los Blancos are coming off a scoreless draw with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in their previous outing in the Champions League, but in their last La Liga match won against Levante 3–0.

Despite not capturing the win in their last match against PSG heading to today's meeting with Celta Vigo, Real Madrid manager Rafael Benítez is satisfied with how his club performed.

"I was convinced the team was going to do well [against Paris Saint-Germain], I knew they were doing their best and willing to win the game. We had chances to do it, took control of the game and even had more shots on goal. As a coach I am satisfied as the players played a great game," Benítez said, according to the International Business Times.

Following Saturday's matchup with the Galicians, Los Blancos will again be in La Liga action when they face Las Palmas on Oct. 31.

Celta Vigo is also coming off a win in its previous La Liga outing, taking out Villareal 2–1 for its first win in the past three league matches.

Club manager Eduardo Berizzo is happy with how they played against Villareal and in the report by the International Business Times cited the club's "quality and drive" which helped them win.

A win this Saturday is important for both Real and Celta Vigo as it will give them three points which will break the triple tie and will place them on top of the La Liga table.
