'Reasonable assumption' BoE's King will get 2nd term
LONDON - It is reasonable to assume that Bank of England Governor Mervyn King will be appointed for a second five-year term as head of the central bank early next year, a government source told Reuters on Wednesday.
Asked whether King would be reappointed for a second term when his term expires in June 2008, the source said: "It's a reasonable assumption".
An announcement on whether King serves another five year term is expected in January or February.
