The aftermath of Daniel's (Josh Bowman) death will be deeply felt in the Hamptons when "Revenge" season 4 returns in January.

The season returns with episode 11 titled "Epitaph," where Emily (Emily VanCamp) and Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) will be seen picking up the pieces after Daniel's unexpected passing.

The latest promo photos for the upcoming episode show Emily looking unkempt and hurt. This is not surprising since Daniel was her former husband and she is still harboring some feelings for him. The fact that he was shot right in front of her while protecting her from Kate (Courtney Ford) seems to make it extra hard for her to accept his death. 

Emily is also wearing a cast on her right arm, probably due to her debacle with Kate during the midseason finale of the show. 

Also, Victoria is shown deeply grieving for the death of her son. Without a doubt, she will pin his death on Emily because she is the reason why Daniel is now dead. Could this mean that more revenge plotting between these women will happen in the next episodes? 

The new promo images also show an interaction between Emily, Victoria, and Emily's father David (James Tupper). This proves that the show will feature more drama in the Hamptons once it returns on screen.

Meanwhile, Emily will be given a new love interest in the second half of the season. Series showrunner Sunil Nayar teased about a blossoming love angle between Emily and Ben (Brian Hallisay). The friendship shown between the two during the midseason finale will be taken on the next level. 

"I think you're going to start to see the real connection between [Ben] and Emily," Nayar teased.

The executive producer also described the new character on the show, saying, "There's a kindness he feels towards Emily and kinship we're going to step on more." 

"Revenge" season 4 returns on Jan. 4 on ABC.
