Fans of the new role-playing game "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will not wait that long for the first story-focused expansion pack for the title as the "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch" DLC has finally gotten a release date.

According to GameSpot, Microsoft itself confirmed with them that the new DLC pack will be released for players next week, on Jan. 26. In its official description, the new "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch" DLC will add hours-long new experience to the title's gameplay.

"This adventure expands the story of the main campaign with Lara facing deadly new adversaries, exploring a new puzzle-filled tomb, and solving a decades old mystery, all culminating in a showdown with an ancient and mythic evil. Includes a new outfit, and a new bow," the description continues.

Since the new DLC pack will be released next week, fans are expecting that the new expansion will be readily available for the PC version of "Rise of the Tomb Raider." However, the industry follower mentioned that Microsoft and the game's developer, Square Enix, has not provided details regarding this.

The PC version of the game will launch two days after the DLC goes live, on Jan. 28.

Meanwhile, although the upcoming DLC is the first story-driven one, it is not the first expansion released for the title. According to Polygon, the upcoming DLC pack is part of the Season Pass for "Rise of the Tomb Raider," and its release follows that of the "Endurance Mode" expansion, which went live last month. In addition to the two expansion content, a third DLC is also expected to release later this year, dubbed the "Cold Darkness Awakened" DLC.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" is Square Enix's sequel to its 2013 "Tomb Raider" title reboot. The current title was released as an exclusive for the Xbox One, with the PC version coming out later this month. Meanwhile, the game is also slated to come out for the PS4 later this year.
