It is already revealed that Samsung will continue with its Galaxy A series. Speculations suggest that some of the lineup iterations, like the 2017 edition of the Galaxy A7, are in the pipeline, as the supposed specs list for the handset have made its way online.

According to SamMobile, a tipster familiar with the lineup has mentioned that the specifications for the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) have already been finalized. Supposedly, the new iteration will be a mix of above-average and flagship specs and features. Topping the improvements list is an IP68 certification for the device. Essentially, this means that the Galaxy A7 (2017) will have the same dust- and water-proofing rating that the current Samsung flagship, the Galaxy S7, has.

In addition to an IP68 certification, the new Samsung Galaxy A7 is supposed to be a selfie handset. In the supposed specs list, the upcoming iteration is listed as having a 16-MP camera setup for its front shooter. Apparently, it will be the same optics as the main camera at the back.

Meanwhile, the rest of the specs for the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) are also included. Allegedly, the 2017 edition of the device will have upgrades under the hood, including an Exynos 7880 chipset and 3 GB of RAM. There are also 32 GB of onboard storage, expected to be expandable via microSD support. Others specs and features include a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display, at least 3,600 mAh battery, and Android Nougat 7.0.

Aside from the Galaxy A7, the entire lineup is also set to receive their refresh versions. The alleged specs and features for the 2017 editions of the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 have already made their way online. Meanwhile, it is expected that a 2017 variant will also come out for the newly-added handset in the lineup, the 2016 Galaxy A8.
