The Samsung Galaxy A series has expanded with a new addition, as Samsung officially launches the Galaxy A9 Pro in China.

With the numerous leaks and supposed specs of the new device out before its official release, fans already know some of the details of the Galaxy A9 Pro. According to GSM Arena, the new addition sticks to its tag as an upgraded version of the Galaxy A9. The two versions have similar builds and form factors, as well as the same Snapdragon 652 processor.

The new addition also gets the same fingerprint scanner as the base model, making the Galaxy A9 Pro feature the Samsung Pay support. The iteration also has the same 6.0-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD resolution. There is also the same set of connectivity features, including Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC, WiFi, and USB 2.0. The new Galaxy A9 Pro also has single-SIM and dual-SIM versions.

However, as an upgrade, the Galaxy A9 Pro features a larger, 4GB RAM, as well as 32GB onboard storage. In addition, the main shooter on the back also got an upgrade, featuring a 16MP setup, larger than the Galaxy A9's 13MP one.

In addition, the Galaxy A9 Pro features a huge boost in its usage and standby time. The new addition is integrated with a massive 5,000 mAh battery that supports fast charging. As for its platform, it comes pre-installed with Android Marshmallow version 6.0.1.

Meanwhile, although the Galaxy A9 has launched exclusively in the Chinese market, Android Authority believes that the new iteration will have a global launch soon. According to the industry follower, this has been the case with previous Galaxy A series unveilings, and the Galaxy A9 Pro will also have the same roll-out pattern.
