The Samsung Galaxy J5 is getting a major revamp this year, and recently, the alleged new features and design of the upcoming phone were leaked in 16 new renders published by Roland Quandt, a reputable industrial designer.

Because of the renders being based on actual trends, many say that the actual phone will resemble the new Galaxy J5 renders when the former finally becomes available.

The leaked images show that the budget-friendly smartphone from Samsung will come in four colors, namely black, gold, blue and pink. These colors are consistent with what was revealed in another leak that came out last month. The new renders from Quandt, however, give a more detailed look at the different angles and sides of the phone, giving spectators a more granular view of what the Samsung Galaxy J5 could look like.

Reports also have it the new Samsung Galaxy J5 will feature a 16:9 screen ratio, which is considered a decent one, knowing that this phone is targeted at the mass market.

The new renders also show that the upcoming smartphone will feature a dedicated microSD card slot. If this proves to be true, then it would surely be a big improvement for Samsung as previous Galaxy J5 models do not have this feature. This also means that the SIM card slot will be placed on the opposide side of the device, near the power button. This should make it easier for users to reach to it.

Reports also have it that the soon-to-be-released smartphone will be powered by an Exynos 7870 chip and 2 GB of random access memory (RAM). Furthermore, the Galaxy J5 is speculated to come with a 16 GB flash memory, a 5.20-inch super AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. As for its shooters, the upcoming device is anticipated to have 13-megapixel rear and front cameras.
