Earlier rumors said the South Korean giant was planning to announce the Galaxy Note 5 during the upcoming IFA 2015 event that will take place in Berlin, Germany this September.

Samsung has been unveiling its new Galaxy Note devices every year during the IFA event for a long time now. But for this year, the Wall Street Journal recently suggested that the company has changed its plans in order to bring the new Galaxy Note 5 phablet to the public's attention, before Apple's iPhone 6S and iPhone 6 Plus come out in September.

The Wall Street Journal added that an event launch for the Galaxy Note 5 will take place somewhere in the U.S.

In addition, new details about the specifications and features of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 have been leaked once again, according to reports, by Sam Mobile. The specs included new information about another handset, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. Recently, rumors said the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be released in place of the expected Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Edge variant.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to sport a 5.67 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display screen with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution like its predecessor, according to Christian Post. The list did not include any details for the cameras.

It was previously rumored that the Galaxy Note 5 will come with a sharp 16 mega pixel rear camera and an 8 mega pixel camera on the front. Internally, it will pack a 64-bit octa core Exynos 7422 processor alongside a Shannon LTE modem. Christian Post added that the colors available will be black, white, silver and gold.
