Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be the most powerful phablet the South Korea-based tech firm will put out, according to Forbes.

Samsung is making its very first water- and dust-resistant phablet in the Samsung Galaxy Note 6. The smartphone will reportedly boast the same IP68 rating the Samsung Galaxy S7 has. This should make the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 much more durable. But Samsung is not done yet. The company will reportedly make history through the phablet by integrating iris-scanning technology on the device.

Samsung was spotted shipping what it referred to as an "iris cam" to India, presumably to test out the product. This item is described as "parts for Samsung Mobile."

As amazing as all this sounds, Samsung Note fans hope that the company will bring back the microSD card slot to the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 after taking it away from the Note 5 --  a move that disappointed patrons of the phablet line.

It goes without saying that users ought to take this news with a pinch of salt. The prospect of an IP68 rating and an iris scanner is nonetheless promising and exciting and something that users will look forward to see in the flesh.

As for the rest of the specs of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6, rumors suggest it will come with a 5.8-inch Slim RGB AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution and a 12MP rear-facing shooter with Super OIS (optical image stabilization).

The phablet will reportedly offer a whopping 6GB RAM, which only a few devices carry at present. To keep up with this hefty amount of memory are two big storage configurations as well – 64GB and 128GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is expected to be launched in July.
