Two newly-released smartphones are getting Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. One is Samsung's curved flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, and the other is HTC's newest selfie-centric offering known as the HTC Desire EYE. 

The Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge requires 250.53 MB of space, and it aims to fix bugs and improve the handset's overall performance. Ultimately, this Lollipop makeover will make the S6 Edge's touchscreen more responsive. 

In addition, users will also notice several interface changes on certain apps while others get more functions and options, one of which is the Photo Editor. Thanks to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, editing images is much easier. Moreover, the software build will also bring more compatible accessories. 

For now, those in Netherlands are the first to get Android 5.0.2 Lollipop for their Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. There is no word as to when it will land in other regions but it will not take long before it does. 

On the other hand, HTC is rolling out Android 5.0.2 Lollipop for the HTC Desire EYE in its home fort, Taiwan. The update is quite hefty at 1008.9 MB and, needless to say, clearing up some space and charging up the phone to at least 50 percent will make the installation process smooth. 

Apart from new and exciting features for the HTC Desire EYE, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop also introduces Sense 6.55 to the device. Many expected that HTC will bring Sense 7 but it looks like users of the selfie device will have to wait for Android 5.1 Lollipop to get that one. 

Nevertheless, there are much-needed improvements to enjoy with the new Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. The device's camera is up for some new tweaking with the new software build as well.

It is still unknown when users who live in other regions will have their Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and HTC Desire EYE gussied up with Android 5.0.2. Lollipop, but with the tech firm giants on the move, it looks like it won't be that long before the update crosses more borders.
