Samsung has now officially launched the Galaxy S6 Edge+ in India.

Two variants of the new phone were announced upon its initial launch; but as of now, only the 32 GB version has been made officially available, with the 64 GB edition of the phone expected to come out later on.

With the Galaxy S6 Edge+ now officially released, its actual specs are now also known.

The S6 Edge+ is equipped with the 64 bit octa-core Exynos 7420 SoC processor, and that is paired up with 4 GB of RAM.

Samsung's latest offering also has a 16-megapixel rear camera that is complemented by a five-megapixel shooter available upfront, according to NDTV.

Buyers of the device get a 5.7-inch QHD Super Amoled display with their Samsung S6 Edge+ to provide them with a crystal clear image of what they are doing on their new device.

Aside from the specs, the noteworthy features of the S6 Edge+ have also been officially revealed.

One of the most notable features of the S6 Edge+ is its ability to be fully charged using a wired charger within an hour and a half, thanks to the new Fast Charging Technology that has been installed into the device. If users don't want to deal with wires cluttering up their workspace, they can also opt for wireless charging, and a full charge will be completed after about two hours.

Also new in the S6 Edge+ is the Apps Edge feature. By utilizing this feature, S6 Edge+ owners can now easily access their most frequently used apps by simply pinning them onto the side display of the phone itself.

For those who may have fallen in love with the S6 Edge and are thinking of upgrading to the S6 Edge+, that decision will likely work out since the new phone has basically all of the important features found on its predecessor, according to Phone Arena.

The Samsung S6 Edge+ will officially go on sale beginning Aug. 28.
