Bits of information are starting to take shape confirming the existence and upcoming release of Samsung's Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The new leaks came from Samsung itself making them reliable. 

According to Samsung-centric tech blog SamMobile, the South Korean company trademarked the names "Galaxy S6" and "Galaxy S6 Edge," which are the purported names of the two forthcoming devices of the company. 

An additional and even stronger hint also came from Samsung as the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920X) and the Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925X) appeared in the Swedish and Finnish websites of the company. According to reports, the websites have separate support pages for the two devices. Although the webpages lack images and information about the devices, it strongly hints that the smartphones will be coming soon. The model numbers SM-G920X and SM-G925X are the supposed European versions of the devices. 

Taking clues from the recent Galaxy Note and Note Edge, the handsets will share the same specifications, and an new AnTuTu leak suggests that Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S smartphones could be serious threats to Apple's current iPhones. According to the listing, consumers should expect a 5.1-inch screen with quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. The devices are powered by Samsung's homegrown octa-core Exynos 7420 processor with 64-bit architecture, which yields the fastest performance among smartphones, and supports 3D display and graphics. Other features are: 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, a 20-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording, and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The handsets run with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. 

With all of the specs and features crowding the rumor mill, it seems that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and its curved edge variant, the S6 Edge, are smartphones to wait for. What is lacking is Samsung's confirmation.
