Samsung is reportedly planning to release the Galaxy S7 by 2016.

As of now, there is no definite release date for the Samsung Galaxy S7, although it is expected to be announced during the first half of next year.

Samsung could reportedly be planning to announce the new phone at next year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in Barcelona, which put the estimated release date right around March, according to Tech Radar.

The company could also hold off releasing the phone a little bit and have it out sometime in April, although few are expecting Samsung to keep it under wraps past the second quarter of 2016.

As for what potential buyers can reasonably expect in terms of specs and features for the Samsung Galaxy S7, one persistent rumor suggests that the company will be using the Snapdragon chips for their upcoming release. Specifically, Samsung is considering the quad-core Snapdragon 820 for their phone.

Samsung is also reportedly considering the Hyrdra processor from Qualcomm for the Galaxy S7, according to Value Walk.

Yet another interesting rumor being connected to the Galaxy S7 is that Samsung is reportedly considering 4K resolution for their newest release. Unfortunately for Samsung, they would not be the first company in the smartphone arena to release a device with 4K resolution, as Sony has already released the Xperia Z5 Premium, which possesses the aforementioned feature.

As for the camera of the Samsung Galaxy S7, fans should reportedly not expect anything too different from the one that was featured on the Galaxy S6, although that is not necessarily bad news given the stellar capabilities of the older unit's shooter.

Unsurprisingly, Samsung is also expected to continue their curved design principles for the Galaxy S7, although they do reportedly intend to make improvements upon their earlier products sporting the same kind of look.
