Smartwatch aficionados are looking forward to the highly speculated Samsung Gear S3. It is rumored to arrive this September with both new and old features. Meanwhile, as the company gears up for their next wearable, they have also rolled out the third update for the Gear S2.

It was reported earlier that the next smartwatch is internally known as Solis and is said to be running with Samsung's own Tizen watchOS. It was also mentioned that a Rolex-looking watch, rumored to be a design for the higher-end model, may arrive. This was speculated to be created by de Grisogono, a renowned watchmaker.

The Samsung Gear S3 is speculated to arrive at this year's IFA expo in Berlin.

Meanwhile, Samsung Gear S2 owners can now get the latest software update for their smartwatch. The company started rolling out the third update last July 15. It makes the device faster and more efficient. The latest update will allow device owners to directly download watchfaces and apps; there is no need to use a smartphone, which makes the whole process more convenient, the company announced.

Gear S2 owners now have the option to personalize their watchfaces. One can select a photo via the My Photo app. The S Health app is also updated; it can now record one's sleeping habits and see if the body is getting enough rest. The health app also contains an option to let the whole world know those healthy activities by posting them directly on Facebook.

The Contacts function is updated as well. It is now easier to call or send a message from the Gear S2. The S Voice, its voice recognition software, now has a timer functionality.

Additionally, the Schedule app, Weather app and World Clock also received an update or two and will now have added features.

Samsung also added a Contact Us feature on the Samsung Gear app.
