A new episode for ABC's "Scandal" airs this week and it's bound to get interesting, although not much has changed from the previous episode.

Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) is still the media's hottest scoop; Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) is naïve amidst everything that happened, while his wife Mellie (Bellamy Young) is still rejected in love.

In the previous episode titled "You Got Served," fans also got to see Olivia meeting Jake (Scott Foley), to whom she revealed the reason why she doesn't want the media to know about the story behind her affair with Fitz, which is because doing so would only mean she'll get tied to the president for a lifetime.

Despite it all, the media seems to love the former White House communications director's emotional interview, in which she revealed her feelings for the president and how it was difficult to resist him.

Meanwhile, Cyrus (Jeff Perry) saw the interview and then got a call from Fitz, who knows very well that Cyrus is the best person to testify about the tape that Olivia recorded when she was abducted.

The president was also offering Cyrus a position back at the White House just so he doesn't reveal what he knows.

In the upcoming sixth episode, Cyrus will be devising a plan that should save Olivia and Fitz from all the troubles they have faced since they were exposed for their affair.

The next episode titled "Get Out of Jail, Free," Cyrus and Fitz called up Olivia to come to the White House to discuss the plan on how to dismiss all negative attention the couple has been getting from the press.

And the genius plan that Cyrus came up is that Fitz and Olivia should get married.

Will Olivia agree and push through with the plan? How will Mellie react to all of this?

"Scandal" season 5 episode 6 will air on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
