Second Coming of Jesus on November 14? Biggest Supermoon to Appear Since Israel Became a Nation
Once again, there is talk about the Second Coming of Jesus, the day when Christ will return to earth in fulfilment of His promises and to fulfill the prophecies made about Him.
Many predictions of this nature have been made in the past that obviously turned out to be false because we are still here. That's why many people have become cynical when another alleged date for this much anticipated biblical event comes out.
This time around though, the alleged date is not that far away, and those making the prediction have at least two alleged historical "coincidences" for saying so.
The alleged date is just around the corner: November 14, 2016, when the biggest supermoon in nearly 70 years is set to grace the night sky, according to Inquisitr.
The first of the alleged coincidences for the prediction: It will only be the second time when this supermoon will make its appearance. The last time the Earth and moon were as close as they will be in mid-November was in 1948 when the state of Israel was created, fulfilling a biblical prophecy.
The second alleged coincidence: The recent start of the long-planned-for restoration of the Holy Edicule at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, where lies the burial slab believed to have been the resting place of Jesus Christ following His crucifixion, according to the Daily Star.
Revelation chapters 6-18 describe the end times prior to the Second Coming of Christ: The world will be devastated. Millions of people will perish, and the most evil person in all history will be ruler of the entire world. The Second Coming of Christ puts all this to an end, according to All About God.
Reports said that on Nov. 14, the moon will reach its perigee, or the closest point to Earth, and thus it will be 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than normal.
But CNN reported that scientists attest that the moon going through perigee is quite normal. In short, it happens often.
According to NASA, this month's supermoon is "an extra-super moon." It is also the second of three consecutive monthly supermoons.
But some people do believe that this month's supermoon is not the usual kind, seeing it as a sign of the Second Coming of Jesus, considering the two alleged coincidences mentioned earlier here.
If it does arrive, it will fulfill what Jesus Himself promised in Matthew 24:30: "At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory."
