In the next episode of "Shameless," Fiona (Emmy Rossum) hears the bad news from her lawyer and contemplates on what to do next about her problem.

The trailers and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "Sleepwalking," were just released recently, and they show Fiona talking to her lawyer in the office. She tells her the depressing news that the people suing her are willing to settle for $3 million instead of $6 million. In addition, they want to get her dog for their kids. Fiona hears this and instantly sighs with frustration. Her lawyer then says that the plaintiffs will remove her from the suit and pursue litigation separately with the insurance company, if she signs the title of the building over to them. "You've got to be f---- kidding me," Fiona says in anger.

However, her attorney then offers her own advice and tells Fiona to just sell the building. She would be better off getting the money instead of giving it to her abusive plaintiffs. "Spend the money. Go to Vegas. Take a trip around the world," the lawyer says to her with concern. She further says that after selling the building, Fiona should proceed to declare bankruptcy. "It is better than letting them take everything that you own," the counselor finally remarks. It remains to be seen if Fiona will heed her attorney's advice or take matters into her own hands.

In the last episode, Fiona boarded up her apartment with wood so that her squatters would not be able to leave the premises. She then took back her dog which the people took from her. She did this with the help of her boyfriend Ford (Richard Flood).

"Shameless" season 8 episode 12 will hit the airwaves on Sunday, Jan. 28, at 9 p.m. EST on the Showtime network.
