Nintendo Switch players, get ready for more "Shin Megami Tensei."

Atlus, the developer of "Shin Megami Tensei V," confirmed during its Oct. 23 livestream event that the upcoming video game will be coming to the Japanese gaming giant's hybrid console. Prior to this, Atlus mentioned that it was working on a new "Shin Megami Tensei" installment for the video game platform.

Alongside the announcement, a trailer for the game also came out. The trailer doesn't show a lot, specifically what the game's story will be about or how gameplay will progress. However, it did tease a couple of tidbits about "Shin Megami Tensei V."

It seems that the upcoming video game will partially take place in a modern Tokyo setting. Two characters can be seen walking through a train station. The trailer then quickly cuts to a tunnel that is being swarmed by slain demons. It cuts again to show a post-apocalyptic setting where the same two characters are fighting each other for survival.

The teaser video lines up with previous hints about the upcoming "Shin Megami Tensei" installment. When it was first teased in January, Atlus revealed a separate teaser that showed a devastated office district flooded with the same demons.

Both interiors of the building and the train station seem to confirm the Japanese setting, although Altus has yet to mention any international locations for its next installment.

The "Shin Megami Tensei" series first came out in the late 1980s for the Nintendo Family Computer. The franchise has given birth to a lot of spin-off video games which include "Persona."

The "Shin Megami Tensei" franchise has been received positively by fans and critics over the years. The video game's graphics have always been praised especially its artwork for some of the demon designs.

As of press time, Altus has not announced when "Shin Megami Tensei V" will come out.
