Game fans have been longing for the fourth installment of "Skate" for some time now. Electronic Arts, the game publisher, mentioned that they do not have plans yet for "Skate 4." At the same time, fans are also waiting for "Skate 3" to be included on Xbox's Backward Compatibility list.

The company has already answered directly that "no new game is currently in development" through its Twitter account, which brought much disappointment to its fans. "Skate 3" was released back in 2010, and fans have been clamoring for a new game since 2011. Incidentally, nearly every single picture on EA's Instagram account has requests for the company to create "Skate 4."

Additionally, fans are also requesting that the last game be included on the Backward Compatibility list. It was previously rumored to be on the way, when it was posted on the Xbox Feedback webpage. Its status states that the game is "in progress" since December. However, there is no indication that the plan has been abandoned completely, thus gamers are still crossing their fingers that a day will come for such good news.

It was also previously reported that EA announced several titles at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016.  These are "Titanfall 2," "Mass Effect: Andromeda," "Madden ," "FIFA 2017," " NFL 2017," "Battlefield 1," and several "Star Wars" titles that include "Battlefront 2."

Even if the game was not mentioned during the E3 2016, it does not mean that the series is dead, which is what the gamers are thinking, although they are also aware that an announcement may not happen soon. 

Fans are looking forward to E3 2017 for good news related to "Skate 4."
