The "Sleepy Hollow" season 3 premiere, which airs tomorrow, Oct. 1, asks the question of whether or not the battle against evil has really come to an end. The synopsis for the season opener titled "I, Witness" makes it feel like sinister forces are just prowling in the night, awaiting the first crack of dawn to make its move.

When the gang returns, they will be in all kinds of trouble. For starters, Abbie and Ichabod's efforts to move on with their lives will be in vain when they come across a "mysterious tablet" that appears to host a dark prophecy.

The two decide to go for another round of combating evil. This time, they have an old amulet that could help them stop evil for good. In the process, they will get themselves in danger both manageable and difficult to get out of.

Teasers and spoilers for the "Sleepy Hollow" season 3 premiere hint that Ichabod will be in a sticky situation. FOX has been teasing on social media that at one point, he will get himself in jail. A photo of Ichabod wearing the notorious orange jumpsuit suggests he's doing time.

There is no info as to how or why Ichabod ended up behind bars. But as some point, he catches the attention of the US Border Patrol and not in a good way. Thankfully, this mystery will be revealed soon, with "Sleepy Hallow" season 3 kick-starting tomorrow.

While it feels like Ichabod and Abbie will be in a jam in the new season, executive producer Clifton Campbell promised during an interview with Entertainment Weekly that "the fun is definitely back." He also warned fans to expect some changes, including the fact that the story in season 3 will not be as heavy with mythology as the previous seasons.

"Sleepy Hollow" season 3 starts almost a year after the events in the previous season. By this time, Abbie is done with her training in Quantico and is now a full-fledged FBI agent.
