Finally, one of the highly anticipated gaming titles this year, "God of War," finally settled on release date, and it's not very far from now.

Sony announced on Tuesday that Kratos's newest adventure together with his son will be available to play on PS4 on April 20. Along with the announcement, Sony released a new narrative trailer, giving fans a glimpse on Kratos and Atreus's relationship as father and son, along with some painfully good action scenes and other characters.

"Living as a man outside the shadow of the gods, Kratos must adapt to unfamiliar lands, unexpected threats, and a second chance at being a father," Sony describes the game. "Together with his son Atreus, the pair will venture into the brutal Norse wilds and fight to fulfill a deeply personal quest."

Sony Interactive Entertainment and God of War creative director Cory Barlog also posted on the Playstation Blog confirming the game's release. And according to him, he's never more excited in his life.

"First, let me say that this is my favorite release day of my entire career. If I live to be 100, I do not think I will be able to top this release day," he said in the post. "I love this trailer. After I saw it, I pre-ordered the game."

"So, April 20, 2018...mark the date on your calendar, people. Clear that schedule, tell your significant other they are wonderful, because that is always a nice thing to do, and then wonder what you will do with all that free time you have now that you don't need to keep asking me when the release date is," he added. "Thank you everyone for your continued support of our game-making addiction. I will do my best to keep sharing information as we head towards launch."

In the post, Barlog also shared the perks and bonuses players will get when they purchase any special edition of the game. Currently, "God of War" is available for pre-order for the Collector's Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition, and the highly coveted Stone Mason Edition.
