Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra phablet specs and features leaked online

Sony Xperia Z Ultra, the predecessor of the soon-to-be released Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra phablet.

The specs of the alleged Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra, the newest phablet device from Sony, is making the rounds online even if its predecessor has been around for only a few months.

According to reports, the soon-to-be released Sony Xperia Z4 will have a gigantic 4 GB RAM, which would probably be the biggest one in the market when it is released. It will also be equipped with either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 or a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. The next-generation Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra is also expected to be thinner than its predecessor, which could probably be around 5.7 mm thin.

Also, the leaked specs mentioned that the Xperia Z4 Ultra from the Japanese brand will have a 16-megapixel primary camera as well as a planned dual LED flash inclusion. In addition, several reports have mentioned that the new phablet from Sony will have a highly sensitive IMX230 sensor Exmor model that has the capacity to capture images at 92-point autofocus for fuzz-free images of fast-moving subjects. It can also take real-time HDR shots.

PhoneArena reported that the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra phablet and the smaller but more powerful Sony Xperia Z4 will be revealed during the CES 2015 trade show that will be held in Las Vegas sometime in January 2015. However, the actual release date of the devices has not yet been revealed at the moment.

In addition, there are report saying that Sony will be releasing the two devices to help the company boost its sales and compete with other leading brands like Apple and Samsung. ITProPortal reported that the sales of the Sony Xperia smartphone line has been lagging behind the competition, and they will not be surprised if the number of sold devices will drop this year compared to the previous ones.

If the reported specs of the new Sony Xperia Z4 line turns out to be accurate, the Japanese brand could have a chance to be at par with the other latest flagship devices in the market today.
