The rumor mill has its eye on the Sony Xperia Z5, the Japan-based tech firm's purported next flagship, which is why leaks involving the device are all over the place. A brand new leak courtesy of Xperia Blog reveals that the smartphone is coming with a stellar imaging package.

The aforementioned site claims that Sony's newest handset will boast a massive 23-megapixel rear-facing shooter. It is said to be a 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor, which should help users capture large, high-resolution photos.

Rumor has it that the Sony Xperia Z5 will come in three versions – the standard Z5, the Z5 Compact and the Z5 Premium, which is being called Z5 Plus by some media outlets. All three models will reportedly don Sony's signature metal and glass chassis. They are expected to be waterproof and dustproof, too.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Compact is said to come with a 4.6-inch display with a 720p screen resolution. The Xperia Z5 is much bigger at 5.2 inches rendering a 1080p resolution. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is the largest and most powerful of the three, with a 5.5-inch screen that renders Ultra-HD 4K resolution. If these reports are true, the Premium version would be the first handset to boast such quality.

Just recently, Sony Georgia leaked via Facebook the specs of all three handsets. The page, however, was dismissed by Sony as unofficial, but it nevertheless spilled the beans on what the company is planning regarding the Sony Xperia Z5.

The post from the page, which appears to have already been taken down, revealed the same details on the size of the display and their respective qualities. In addition, it said that all variants of the flagship will get a fingerprint scanner. In the same Facebook post, Sony Georgia claimed that the Xperia Z5 in all its various forms will be fully unveiled during the IFA 2015 event in Berlin on Sept. 2.
