Just as the holiday is around the corner, developer of the shooting game "Splatoon 2" is bringing new updates to the colorful game.

Nintendo Switch users who have gotten "Splatoon 2" will see an update today Nov. 23, and another one tomorrow, Nov. 24. The first batch of the updates will include Salmonid Smokeyard, the fourth stage for the Salmon Run option. Aside from this, clothes which were based on the first game will also be seen by fans.

Aside from the new stage, fans can expect "winter-themed" clothing items, such as jackets, sweaters, and ski masks, perfect for the holidays. Seita Inoue, art director for this feature, revealed that the game was planning on showcasing collections, much like in the fashion industry. There will also be four more options for hairstyles.

For multiplayer option, the update also brings an accessible and convenient way for players to switch their gears without having to leave the lobby. To deliver better gaming experience, the game provides gamers with new music to keep things entertaining during battles. The level cap had been changed from 50 to 99 as well.

On the 24th, players will see the second batch of updates. There will be four new maps, with the first one arriving on Friday. The "MakoMart" map will allow players to explore a retail store, and producer Hisashi Nogami claimed it should be released in time for Black Friday.

The other maps would be expected to roll out in the following weeks. These maps will feature a warehouse, a mall, and a museum. Aside from these updates, Nintendo is going to launch in December "Clam Blitz," another battle mode.

"We're hoping that we'll be able to invite in a group of new players who get the game," Nogami said.
