When "Star Wars: Battlefront" was first announced, many gamers and avid "Star Wars" fans have projected the upcoming shooter to be the biggest game release this year. Now, the pressure is on game developer DICE to meet their expectations.

The developer's head Patrick Bach knows pressure very well and while speaking to Gamespot, he went all out in revealing what the big, scary word has done to him and his team over at the game studio. 

"It's a different pressure, and of course it's stupid for us to put ourselves under more pressure," Bach said. "There's a very avid Star Wars following, who all want Battlefront to be great. So that's where it starts."

He reiterated that they know people are expecting the team not to mess it up. He recognizes that there will be endless speculation and knows about how "people are super detailed on how we will screw up," but he is confident gamers and fans of the massive franchise will love what they're going to see in the new shooter. 

"If you look at what Battlefront stands for, it's to recreate these battles," Bach said. "The Battlefront franchise has multiplayer at its core. But we've also added in some offline missions, that you can play alone or with a friend. [It's] about the world and the actions. The sights and the sounds. That is exactly what we're giving you." 

There are still a few months left before the game hits the shelves and fans will know if they will agree with Bach or not. Interestingly, PC gamers will get the chance to be part of the shooter's alpha testing and they can register via EA's Origin. 

In a page for the registration, interested individuals can log in with their Origin account. Gamers will readily know if they are in or not. For those who are not that lucky, EA encourages them to sign up for the newsletter or follow the publisher for other chances they can take part in. 

"Star Wars: Battlefront" will come out Nov. 17 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
