'Star Wars Battlefront' latest news: High quality screenshots from game leaked

During the closed alpha testing of "Star Wars: Battlefront," videos and screenshots of the game were leaked despite game company DICE's efforts to prevent this from happening. While the clips are no longer available, stellar 4K screenshots of Hoth are still here to dazzle.

The screenshots prove the collaborators' hard work in making the game what it was always meant to become. But DICE admitted that making the title look good was no easy feat, and the idea of such a big franchise resting on their shoulders terrified them.

"We knew it would be a cumbersome process — to create what we wanted to create," DICE general manager Patrick Bach told The Guardian.

"When we were asked to do this we were really scared," he admitted, adding that the task of making another "Star Wars: Battlefront" was "too intimidating."

Although the team "had enough in our pipeline to be able to say no," Bach said that it was just too difficult to resist such honor.

"But on the other hand, your heart is screaming yes! Because of course you want to make a Star Wars game. We just thought, okay, we'll figure it out as we go," he said.

Bach is very confident of DICE's expertise in making multiplayer games as this was what it had been doing for as long as fans can remember. And indeed, "Star Wars: Battlefront" boasts 12 incredibly detailed and elaborately fashioned multiplayer maps and a DLC pack to come out post-launch.

"We've been building Battlefield games with a multiplayer focus for a very long time," Bach told the aforementioned publication. "I would argue that we've never failed to provide longevity in those games. I'm guessing that we will not completely fail in doing that for Battlefront."

"Star Wars: Battlefront" will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One on Nov. 17.
