"Star Wars: Episode VIII" is almost done with its principal photography, that is according to its director, Rian Johnson, who made the announcement on a social media site. Additionally, it is circulated within the community that the head of the resistance will finally use the Force to fight back.

Information about upcoming movies is very rare. But last week fans got a feast from Johnson, who posted a new picture via his Tumbler account. It shows a Jedi robe and the words "In the home stretch." The robe appears to be of the same type worn by Luke Skywalker.

The movie started shooting last February and has gone through several places, and the ones that have been reported were U.K., Croatia and Iceland. However, nobody still knows about the plot, except those suggested by a few cast mebers, namely by Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, GameSpot reported.

Isaac, who plays Poe Dameron, said, "Rian is definitely going to places and investigating things that haven't really been done in the Star Wars universe."

Ridley, who stars as Ray, stated, "It's a different take--darker, bigger."

While Boyega, who acts out as Finny, mentioned, "Someone will say: 'How do you get bigger than Force Awakens?' But it's crazy."

It was previously rumored that General Leia will be ambushed and will fall into a coma. Nobody knows if the latest info is connected to the same scene, but Mr_Ghostface_Lives mentioned that the resistance leader survived a brutal attack because she used the Force. Mr_Ghostface_Lives is a regular poster on IMDB and is known for posting information about "The Force Awakens" movie before it hit the theaters.

He also squashed a theory that fans have been discussing much about, that Luke and Rey are related.

"Luke is not Rey's father. If you really can't let go of this, watch Episode VII again and pay attention. He is not revealed to be her father in Episode VIII, not will he be in Episode IX," the post said.

"Star Wars: Episode VIII" is slated to hit theaters on Dec. 15, 2017 and will star Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Laura Dern, Adam Driver, Anthony Daniels, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis and Gwendoline Christie.
