Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) is expected to get a much larger role in "Star Wars Episode VIII" compared to his small cameo at the end of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." With a more prominent role, he is expected to undergo wardrobe changes, and now, some details of these changes have emerged.

Back in April, a report from Making Star Wars revealed Luke would be donning a black garment akin to the one he wore back in "Return of the Jedi." A new follow-up has been released, and this time, artist Lumberjack Nick has been approached to create a visual representation of what Luke will be wearing in the film.

The finished art piece reveals Luke wearing a dark gray or black outfit, and he has a stern, angry face, although it is possible this expression may just be Lumberjack Nick's rendition of the scene described to him. Luke is shown with his robotic hand, but this is reportedly due to the claim that those who saw the actual scene were not sure if Luke had his black glove on or not.

According to the report, Luke's dark robes start out pretty filthy, and they will get even dirtier throughout the film. This will draw comparisons to Yoda living in Dagobah and will be a stark contrast to the regal white robes Luke wore at the end of "The Force Awakens."

However, the biggest detail is that Luke has no belt or holster to store a lightsaber. He is also drawn holding what appears to be a walking stick or thin spear. It is unknown if Luke will be using a lightsaber throughout the film, but given how Rey (Daisy Ridley) was trying to give his lightsaber back to him there is a possibility of him wielding it before the movie ends.

It is also noted that the outfit Rey is drawn wearing is also accurate to what was seen on the set, and it closely resembles what she wore in "The Force Awakens."

"Star Wars Episode VIII" will premiere on Dec. 15, 2017.
