"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" was one of the biggest, most awaited presentations during Disney's D23 event, and fans who have been wanting and waiting to see a glimpse of the intergalactic spectacle weren't disappointed.

During the affair, a poster drawn by artist Drew Struzan was unveiled. Struzan is famous not only for his work within the franchise — he provided posters for all six films — but also for his work in "Indiana Jones." The poster was a promotional one made for the event although Struzan will also be making the official "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" poster.

The artwork features Finn, Rey, Kylo Ren and Han Solo but more than that, it reveals key information about these characters, the biggest of which is Finn wielding Luke Skywalker's old blue lightsaber, which was once possessed by his father Anakin Skywalker before becoming Darth Vader. This revelation confirms that John Boyega's character will be brandishing the said weapon.

While it isn't a surprise to fans, this also shows that getting a hold of the weapon will spell trouble for him and Rey. Of course, it remains to be seen how this will all play out in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

During the same D23 event, Disney CEO and Chairman Bob Iger revealed that the Mouse House is gearing up to create the biggest park inspired by the long-running, dearly loved franchise.

"We're bringing Star Wars to life in a big way, and I mean really big. We're creating a jaw-dropping new world, that represents our largest single-themed land expansion ever," Iger said as quoted by Entertainment Weekly. "We knew it needed to be big, we knew it needed to be great, so we're going to transport guests to a whole new planet."

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will hit theaters on Dec. 18.
