Success in life can be measured in countless ways and it's also possible to achieve success through different methods. But for popular TV personality Steve Harvey, living a successful life without God is a big mistake.

Harvey shared some words of wisdom about success on his Twitter page last Sunday. He also provided a link of his full message on his official site.

"You can live life in any way you see fit but...if you choose to live without God, I think you're making a mistake," Harvey posted on Twitter. The TV star went on to explain that having God in one's life is a necessity.

He acknowledged that people could still make it big if they persevered towards a goal but he also pointed out that even with success, people can still stumble and struggle. Harvey implied that when those bad days occur, even successful people need God as the anchor.

"You can do this without God if you want to, but I'm telling you, to get to where you really want to be, and to be all that God has for you, you got to have God," Harvey said at the end of his inspirational message.

In 2012, Harvey decided to conclude his stand-up comedy career after 27 years by mounting a soldout show in Las Vegas. In his final curtain call, the "Family Feud" host did not fail to show his gratitude to God for fulfilling his dreams.

After expressing his gratefulness, Harvey acknowledged that he's "not a perfect Christian." He said, however, that putting God at the center of his life positioned him to become a good witness of His graces.

The influential host recently landed at number one in the ranking of the most popular TV personalities on the social media platform. He has over seven million Facebook followers, nearly four million Twitter followers and four million more followers on Instagram.
