Cartoon Network announced that the coming-of-age animated series "Steven Universe" will be returning with new episodes on Nov. 10.

The Cartoon Network public relations team made the announcement via Twitter, with a trailer for the six new episodes coming up. These will be available first to fans using the Cartoon Network app. The show will not be back on television until next month. There is no specific date yet but the press release said it will be in the beginning of December.

This is the second time Cartoon Network decided to release "Steven Universe" on the app before the small screen. Back in January, fans were surprised to find out that five new episodes were available on the app, three weeks before it was scheduled to be released on TV. Many thought it was a mistake and the episodes had been leaked.

Cartoon Network, however, clarified that it was a strategy that they were trying out on some of their other shows like "Mighty Magiswords," "Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs" and "My Knight and Me." It was apparently a "See it First" feature exclusive to CN App users.

"It helps us build awareness for upcoming episodes and for new show launches before they go on the linear platform," a representative told Polygon.

"Steven Universe" is a fictional comedy that follows the adventures of Steven, the youngest member of the Crystal Gems, a group of magical guardians tasked to protect the Earth from Homeworld Gems. Steven is a half-human, half-gem who spends his days in Beach City, hanging out with fellow Gems Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl. Sometimes, they also save the world.

In the upcoming episodes, Steven will help Mayor Bill Dewey run his campaign. This follows the previous four-episode "Wanted" arc.

Fans who can't wait for the series to hit the smalls screen can download the Cartoon Network app, which is available on Apple, Android and Amazon devices.
