This Halloween, "Stranger Things" is returning for its second season. Netflix recently uploaded on YouTube the final "Stranger Things 2" trailer.

The promotional video shows Eleven alive and well, and Will staring up at a strange and formidable looking monster. Not much has been revealed, but hints have once again stirred up the fan's curiosity as they wait for the second season's release.

"Stranger Things 2" will reportedly take place during Halloween, around a year or so after the events of the first season of the popular series. Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) is back with his friends and family and the kids are preparing for their Halloween celebrations. Things appear normal and peaceful, but mysteries still lurk beneath the surface of the idyllic town.

The first season ended with Will coughing up a slug-like creature and receiving strange visions of the Upside Down. Aside from that, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) faced off against a monster and vanished.

Ever since the season ended, fans have been speculating and coming up with theories for all the strange things that have occurred. Time Entertainment came up with a list containing some of the most interesting theories.

Their list included theories that varied from the Upside Down being inside of Will to Eleven and the monster from season one being the same entity. There is also one about Will drawing a map of the Upside Down, which many fans believe might be true because Will returned from Upside Down after he was found.

Curious followers of the show have also gone to online forums such as Reddit to discuss their own theories with their peers. People are curious, and this Oct. 27, they will finally be getting answers to their questions.

"Stranger Things" first aired on Netflix in 2016. Season 1 revolved around the strange things happening in the small town of Hawkins and the events following the disappearance of a young boy. The Netflix original was well received and garnered a rating of 95% on the entertainment review site, Rotten Tomatoes.
