Capcom aims to craft "Street Fighter V" into a novelty built on the franchise's very foundation that gamers came to love. In an interview with Edge magazine, series producer Yoshinori Ono revealed the ambitions his team has in making the newest of the legendary fighter series. 

"With Street Fighter V, we have a fantastic opportunity to create something with a larger scope," Ono said. "A game that encompasses all that Street Fighter has become in the last few years, but which also expands on that to become something it has never been before as well." 

Ono assured fans that "Street Fighter V" will serve as a confident call to players new to the game to join the ride as much as it will make hardened gamers of the classic fighting video game series feel like they are home. By and large, the game will be full of surprises. 

"So now we want to create something that nobody is expecting," Ono teased. "It's going to be a title that caters to fans, of course, but one that also invites completely new players onto the scene. Street Fighter IV was about reviving a passion. Street Fighter V is about growing that passion." 

At the moment, Capcom is gearing up for a "Street Fighter V" beta test, which it described as the "largest and most ambitious online beta program in franchise history." Players can join this record-breaking event by pre-ordering "Street Fighter V." However, Capcom has yet to make an official announcement about the day gamers will experience the action in the massive-sounding affair.

Also, a release date for the game has not yet been settled, with the PC and PS4 only getting a tentative spring 2016 launch window.
