'Suits' season 5 spoilers: Who will be arrested next?

More arrests will take place in "Suits" Season 5B.USA Network

Mike Ross' (Patrick J. Adams) trial is only the first of many hurdles that the crew at Pearson Specter Litt will be facing when the hit USA Network series "Suits" returns for the second half of season 5.

The protégé was arrested during the midseason finale for "conspiracy to commit fraud." As the authorities seek more evidence to prove that Mike has other accomplices, it is entirely plausible that more arrests will take place soon. Harvey Spectre (Gabriel Macht) will most likely be the first target, as Mike is his apprentice. The new prosecutor to the case will make sure no stone is left unturned for this case, as the promo for the upcoming episode seems to suggest.

In the extended clip for "Blowback," Anita Gibbs (Leslie Hope) is telling Mike that she will be the one to put him in jail. She said that he committed fraud every time "picked up the phone" and "mailed the letters," even when he signed his name or appeared in court. The ruthless attorney also taunts Mike that if he thinks people are "rushing down" to bail him out, he has another thought coming. Other shots show the fake lawyer being booked.

Meanwhile, series creator Aaron Korsh told The Hollywood Reporter back in August that the person behind Mike's arrest would not be revealed in episode 11. He said the viewers would be surprised once they know the identity of the whistleblower, as he or she could be anyone in the series.

"It could have been a friend, foe, a neutral party or someone who has never even met Mike. We went through the whole gamut and landed on someone I liked. It's not necessarily poetic, but we've seen a lot of different reactions to people discovering Mike's secret, and this is a new reaction," Korsh said.

"Suits" season 5 will return on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 10 p.m. EST on USA Network.
