Nintendo is proving to be quite the generous giver as they are all set to release a new "Super Mario" game this 2017 after giving the world a new video game console to obsess about just this March. The "Mario" franchise is one of the longest running game franchises in the world dating as far back as 1985 when the first "Super Mario" game was released. Now, devoted fans of the game have an all new "Super Mario" game to look forward to.

Dubbed as "Super Mario Odyssey," the new game will see the return of the iconic Mario in 3D as he embarks on another adventure. The new Mario game is exclusive to the newly-released Nintendo Switch, the latest addition to the Nintendo gaming roster. "Super Mario Odyssey" was first unveiled in the Nintendo Switch presentation back in January with a "Holiday 2017" release date.

Holiday 2017 could not be vaguer, but this means that people can expect its release to be sometime this November or December. The new "Super Mario Odyssey" will feature several new worlds for Mario to explore which would include a New York-esque New Donk City, a nearly realistic city featuring almost-normal looking human beings. Other than that, screenshots of the new game also show a number of less realistic colorful worlds and not only that, it seems that Mario's hat will also be getting a major upgrade in this new game. In fact, the hat itself may even become a whole new different character.

"Super Mario Odyssey" will be making an appearance at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3, this June where it will be playable. Reggie Fils-Aimee of Nintendo America had earlier told IGN that the new Mario game was intended to be playable in the Nintendo Switch presentation, but it was decided that the game would be appearing at the E3 instead. Furthermore, it has been reported that Nintendo has boosted production of the Switch in time for the release of "Super Mario Odyssey."
