With Nintendo launching the "Super Smash Bros" 3DS version in North America today, Oct. 3, it can be expected that the buzz will still get louder as the game has already been released in Japan and has performed extremely well.

The latest updates on possible "Super Smash Bros 4" characters have been mainly contributed by Japanese online communities who first got hold of the 3DS game. Online users have already pointed out a number of names from the game that may be included in the upcoming fourth installment.  These include Ness, Falco, Dark Pit, Duck Hunt Dog, Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario, Ganondorf, Mr. Game & Watch, Wario, and Jigglypuff, to name a few.

With "Super Smash Bros," players are able to select from a long list of characters before they go into smashing time. And in this 3DS version developed by Namco Bandai, fans can look forward to selecting from the largest roster that the entire series has ever generated.

Based on Nintendo's comprehensive history, 51 characters have been said to be included along with Pac-Man and Sonic the Hedgehog. At least 37 will be made available during the start of the game, and the remaining characters can be unlocked as users play throughout the game and go into battle.

Characters can now be generated based on a gamer's Mii avatar – players can choose to be a swordsman, gunner, or brawler. Such characters can battle it out in diverse locations, such as the Gaur Plains and the Final Destination.

While the online mode has reportedly improved, a new adventure mode has also been integrated into the 3DS version to strengthen characters. Moreover, with the game now having 3D capabilities, users can look forward to the "added depth and pop-out effect," which significantly enhances the overall gaming experience.

Last month, retailers have reportedly begun selling exclusive Super Smash Bros. 4 and Amiibo bundles. Walmart, for instance, has already started accepting pre-orders for a "Super Smash Bros.4" Wii U Amiibo Starter Bundle that comes with a price tag of $99.99. Aside from a copy of the Super Smash Bros. Wii U, three Amiibo action figures are included for customers to use for the game.
