Unconfirmed reports say that tech giant Microsoft is planning a major event by October, and fans may see some signature products such as the much-anticipated Surface Pro 4 and a whole new lineup of Windows-run smartphones.

Reported first on the Chinese website WPDang and later picked up by tech observer The Verge, speculations place Microsoft to be unveiling at least two new Lumia phones, the new Surface Pro 4, and another iteration of the company's Microsoft Band wearable. In addition, the planned October event will also see the release of another tablet addition, the Surface Mini. The smaller 2-in-1 hybrid tablet was originally scheduled for roll out together with the Surface Pro 3 last year. However, Microsoft decided to forgo the smaller tablet and launched a third-gen Surface Pro tablet instead.

The Chinese website also reported that Microsoft might also unveil an updated Xbox One. Much slimmer and more powerful than the current gaming console, the Xbox One Mini is said to also be launched in October. However, there are no other information and leaks that support this claim from WPDang.

On the other hand, some reports say that Microsoft is gearing up for not one but two big product launches starting next month. According to Daniel Rubino of Windows Central, tech insiders say that Microsoft will first launch two new Lumia phones, dubbed as the CityMan and TalkMan handsets, by next month. The two Lumia phones could also be the rumored Lumia 950 and 950 XL smartphones.

No spec details were available for the two Lumia handsets, but based on the current lineups from other smartphone manufacturers, fans may expect top-notch specs and premium build for the Lumia flagships, together with the mobile version of Microsoft's newest platform, Windows 10.

Meanwhile, another big event is rumored to be held in October, with the Redmond-based company revealing the Surface Pro 4 and Microsoft Band 2.
