The hit anime "Sword Art Online" is getting yet another video game adaptation sometime this February 2018. The game will be released in Japan prior to its release in the West, but both versions will reportedly be released during the same month despite the minor delay for western fans of the franchise.

The latest game "Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet" takes place during the "Gun Gale Online" segment of the popular fantasy multiplayer roleplaying game (MMORPG) anime. During the "Gun Gale Online" segment, Kirito gives up the fantasy world of Aincrad Online and hops into the Sci-Fi-like wastelands of the post-apocalypse earth. There, players tote guns instead of swords as they battle their way past monsters and hostile enemies in order to level up and earn rewards from combat.

"Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet," the latest addition to the lengthening list of Sword Art Online game adaptations, follows a similar pattern when compared to "Gun Gale Online."

Players will be thrown into the Sci-Fi world of Fatal Bullet where they will be able to interact with not only their fellow players but with popular "Sword Art Online" characters from both the anime and light novel. Players will hop into the shoes of the game's hero and will then be tasked with completing quests, defeating bosses, and unlocking their character's full potential.

The game will come with different online modes, online co-operative mode and online competitive mode. In co-op mode, players will team up in groups of four to take down bosses together. Meanwhile, in competitive mode players will be divided into two groups, an alpha and bravo team, and will compete to see which team fairs the best when pit against powerful bosses.

The game's trailer was first uploaded on Namco Bandai Entertainment America's YouTube Channel in August 2017, and since then the developers have been slowly releasing screenshots and other sneak-peaks on the upcoming "Sword Art Online Game."

"Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet" will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
