Ten-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift has been lying low for the past few months, and people are speculating that it is because she is working on new music. From what it looks like, based on new reports, this might be true.

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, who is known to be Swift's close friend, revealed in an interview earlier this year that she might be releasing an album around the Christmas season. "Taylor isn't going to be releasing until probably the end of this year," Sheeran told the BBC in March. "Christmas is the smartest time to release because that's when everyone buys records."

However, the millions of fans may not have to wait that long. An insider has revealed that it is possible for the singer's new album to hit the shelves this fall. Swift is reportedly trying to "keep herself out of the media," until she is ready to promote her new studio album. "Taylor's been quietly recording new music for a couple of months," a source has told Us Weekly. "She's aiming to release an album this fall."

The source has also stated that Swift is "continuing down the pop route," following the success of her "1989" album, which earned two Grammy Awards for "Album of the Year" and "Best Pop Vocal Album" in 2014. People are expecting songs about her 15-month relationship with Scottish D.J. Calvin Harris and her three-month whirlwind romance with actor Tom Hiddleston to dominate her upcoming album. 

According to Harper's Bazaar, Swift is avoiding the bigger recording studios in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Nashville. The "Blank Space" singer is rumored to be working on new music in some secluded spot. She has not been updating her Instagram accounts regularly, with her post on May 3 being the first one in over two months. Except for her Super Bowl weekend performance in February, Swift has also not been spotted in public since January.
