Leah Messer is speaking up after a report claimed that she is suicidal. The "Teen Mom 2" star was rumored to be deeply depressed after she lost primary custody of five-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah to ex-husband, Corey Simms. Radar Online reported earlier this week that the reality star was "suicidal" and that her friends and family were allegedly "very concerned" about her current state of mind.

But on Thursday, Nov. 12, the 23-year-old took to Twitter to deny the report, saying that she never thought about taking her own life as her daughters need her.

"Articles that are sent to me are unbelievable!" she tweeted. "I am far from being suicidal because my girls need me healthy and happy! #craziness"

In Touch reported last month that Leah lost custody of her daughters and that Corey was awarded primary custody on Oct. 13. An insider told the website that the mother of three gets the twins only on the weekends.

According to the website, Corey first fought for custody in 2014 after reports claimed that Leah was abusing prescription drugs, and he scheduled another hearing in August when it was reported that the twins were constantly late for school. In Touch also reported that Leah's other ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert, is also thinking about applying for custody of their daughter, Addie, 2.

Leah spoke to Us Weekly about the court's decision and said that learning that she has lost custody of her daughters "was like a slap in the face."

This summer, Leah spent a month in rehab to get her life back on track. Leah's co-star Kailyn Lowry recently came to her defense, telling Radar Online that nobody should "knock" the single mother for seeking treatment.

"I think taking care of yourself as a person and a mother is always important," said Kailyn. "And if she has to go through some hard bumps in the road to get to a healthy place, then nobody should knock her for it."
