Gerard Argent (Michael Hogan) of the infamous werewolf hunter family will give Scott (Tyler Posey) and his pack vital information on how to defeat the Beast in the upcoming episode of the hit series "Teen Wolf."

In "Maid of Gévaudan," TV.com reports that the wolf brothers may have finally discovered the key to take down the biggest threat in Beacon Hill, the powerful and enormous Beast of Gévaudan. Ever since the creature arrived in town, both the wolf and chimera packs have kept their distance. It is difficult to read the centuries-old werewolf, the worst and biggest of all. Little has been known about it, except its viciousness when attacking victims.

The upcoming episode will finally see a breakthrough for Scott and his brothers, as the Argent patriarch will tell them an old story on the one of the few moments that the Beast was defeated. Executive producer Jeff Davis told Buzzfeed News that this has something to do with an ancestor of the Argent family, Marie-Jeanne Valet. According to him, actress Crystal Reed would be returning to the series to play the French's version of Joan of Arc.

Marie-Jeanne was attacked by the creature in the year 1765 while crossing the River Desges with her sister. Her only weapon was a staff with a bayonet at the tip. Somehow, the maiden was able to wound the Beast, causing it to flee. She is the one of the first persons to fend off an attack in history, which makes Argent's story all the more important for the wolf pack. Davis provided a description for Reed's character.

"She was a peasant girl who had fashioned a bayonet onto a spear and was supposedly one of the first to survive an attack by the beast. Valet is another female warrior, and I think one of the great things Crystal does is she gives our viewers, especially our young female viewers, someone to look up to. We also get to see her wielding a crossbow again!" he shared.

"Teen Wolf" season 5 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on MTV.
