It looks like a new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" video game is being developed by Platinum Games for Activision, based on a listing from the Australian Classification Board website.

The game, dubbed "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan," was given an "M" rating for mild impact themes, mild impact language, and moderate impact violence from the Australian Classification Board. It is equivalent to the "T" or "Teen" rating by the U.S. Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).

The listing did not provide further information about the new game. But based on the listing, the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game will contain violence and online interactivity. It was reportedly classified on Nov. 30.

The last Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed video game came out in 2013, when Activision digitally released "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" for the Xbox 360 and PC. The game that was developed by Red Fly Studio was also released on the PS3 in 2014.

However, the last Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game performed poorly in reviews, according to GameSpot. It scored three out of 10 because of its numerous game-breaking issues as well as its sub-quality camera system.

According to the review, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" had the potential of being a good game because of its exhilarating combat and witty story. But the game is filled with several glitches that could affect the gamer's excitement.

Activision holds the license to publish video games under the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle" franchise, but the studio has yet to verify the existence of the game.
