The highly anticipated console and PC versions of the popular fighting video game "Tekken 7" is finally set to be released sometime next year.

In order to create additional hype for the upcoming release, Bandai Namco Entertainment has now officially announced the addition of yet another playable character to the ever growing roster in the form of the fighting Spaniard Miguel Caballero Rojo.

Miguel is, of course, a recurring character in the series and was first introduced in the previous game, "Tekken 6," and its update, "Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion." Miguel Caballero Rojo was one of the new characters that were added to the franchise in the previous game, which also included characters like Bob, Lars, Alisa, Zafina, and Leo.

Bandai also released a brand new teaser trailer for Miguel which briefly shows his back story. Miguel's story is centered around "vengeance and redemption" as he seeks out the destruction of the Mishima Zaibatsu and answers from its CEO, Jin Kazama. During his sister's wedding, several jets attacked the church which resulted in his sister's death. Miguel then joins the recently announced King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 to look for answers and to find someone to punish for his sister's death.

The new character has a heavy-handed fighting style which looks somewhat unorthodox seeing as that he hasn't really had any formal martial arts training. Despite this, the character's devastating moves and combos that are quite formidable. He is portrayed to be quite a large fellow wearing a bull fighter's outfit, among his other costumes.

"Tekken 7" has been out on a limited arcade release since March 2015. An updated version — "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" — was then released in arcades in Japan back in July of this year.

The game is scheduled to be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and for the Windows PC in early 2017.
