"Terrorhythm," the music-powered beat 'em up game developed and published by Evil Corporation Games, is scheduled to release later this month.

PC Gamer reported the news on March 6. PC Gamer remarked that the upcoming game is more about mastering the beats per minute rather than being the typical two-dimensional (2D) brawler the game portrays itself to be.

According to the Steam page of the upcoming game, "Terrorhythm's" story is set in the 25th century. The then world is governed by a totalitarian system of sound isolation wherein silence is the only law. In a world forced into complete silence, players are tasked to break the suppressive law to bring back sound and music to the world. This can be done by following the rhythm to defeat the security systems that mutes any sound from the society. Afterall, hope remains for those who can remember the melody of their former lives.

The game features a hardcore brawler in a cyberpunk style with colorful animations and striking visual effects, an intense combat action using four buttons and combinations for players to collect to hit massive range attacks. The game also features a direct connection between the beat of the music and the character's movements for a better gaming experience. Furthermore, "Terrorhythm" provides several difficult levels including a hard mode for high-score gainers and achievers. To make the most out of the game, players are encouraged to play with any of the following — a keyboard, a controller or a universal serial bus (USB) dance pad.

"Terrorhythm" will be available on Steam for Microsoft Windows and Mac operating system (OS) X. There is no price listed as of the moment. Interested players may add the upcoming game to their wishlist so that they will be notified of the game's release.
