A National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Big 12 Conference showdown of undefeated teams will take place this Saturday when the Texas Tech Red Raiders host the Texas Christian University (TCU) Horned Frogs at Jones AT&T Stadium.

Both football programs are 3–0 in their 2015 campaigns and are known for their impressive offense.

In a report by Athlon Sports, hosts Red Raiders are averaging 54.3 points per game, while the Horned Frogs are averaging 49.7 points.

Texas Tech's first two games in 2015 ended in blowouts, defeating Sam Houston State Bearkats (59–45) and University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Miners (69-20).

The Red Raiders' most recent outing against Arkansas Razorbacks was the closest of all their games so far, but they were able to pull through winning 35–24.

Meanwhile, TCU started their campaign with a 23–17 victory over Minnesota Golden Gophers before displaying their dominance against Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks (70–7) and Southern Methodist University Mustangs (SMU) (56–37).

The match between Texas Tech and TCU will feature two of the best quarterbacks in the Big 12 Conference.

Sophomore Patrick Mahomes will be leading Texas Tech's offense while for TCU, it will be senior Trevone Boykin.

Mahomes already made it past 1,000 yards this 2015, having 77 completions for 1,029 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Horned Frogs' Boykin, on the other hand, is nearing a thousand yards as he has 65 completions for 985 yards and 10 touchdowns.

This season, both Mahomes and Boykin have thrown only three interceptions each along with their great numbers.

Athlon Sports also cited both quarterbacks' impressive rushing game this season.

Texas Tech's Mahomes has 21 carries for 129 yards and four touchdowns, while Boykin has 32 carries for 148 yards with two touchdowns.

In last season's matchup, TCU overwhelmed their interstate rivals Texas Tech with an 82–27 victory.

Before that, the Red Raiders had won two consecutive games over the Horned Frogs and would like to bounce back from last year's drubbing and return to winning against their rivals.
