'The 100' season 3 episode 6 spoilers: Clarke close to giving up pursuit of peace in 'Bitter Harvest'

This week's episode of "The 100" season 3 will put Clarke's heart and mind to the test. Titled "Bitter Harvest," the new installment sees the character wrestle with what really is more important – vengeance or mercy?

In "The 100" season 3 episode 5, fans watched Bellamy make a complete turnaround. His relationship with Clarke has been compromised following his decision to side with Pike. Clarke continues to find peace and stray from violence as much as possible, but Bellamy is not one with her.

So far, "The 100" season 3 has shown Clarke's willingness to find a way to make a nation of warfare appreciate peace despite this whole thing looking a lot like a lost cause. While she has Lexa on her side, Bellamy turning against Clarke just makes it difficult for her to push through.

This could be why the next "The 100" season 3 installment sees Clarke considering vengeance against Pike, which is a complete violation to what she has always been advocating. While Clarke is at odds within herself, it looks like war is going to break out anyway.

Meanwhile, there's an entirely different situation happening in the promo for the episode. The trailer teases that a powerful drug, which is supposedly used to "eliminate pain," has come to the possession of the Chancellor.

While it looks like it does what it is supposed to do, it has side effects that seem to worsen the condition of anyone who takes it. Unfortunately, there are already folks in Camp Jaha who have tried it. Jasper is very interested to get a hold of one, which may not be a good idea.

"Whatever it is, it's eliminating more than just pain," Abby tells Chancellor Jaha in the "The 100" season 3 sneak peek. Raven took the drug as well and Abby is concerned it is doing something bad rather than good on her.

"The 100" season 3 episode 6 "Bitter Harvest" airs Feb. 25 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
